Tropical Bird Coil Pots
Grade Level: 3rd Grade
Media: Clay
Students learned how to attach wet clay to wet clay and created a pinch pot and coil to connect them together. They will learn how to form a bird's head and wings to attach to their pinch pots.
Practice
Step 1: Students will practice building their elements of the bird using playdough.
Handbuilding
Step 2: Students will handbuild their tropical bird pot attaching their elements using the slipping and scoring method in clay.
Painting
Step 3: Students will paint their tropical clay pots using neon watercolor.
